Memories...

Okay, I'm copying everyone! Please follow the instructions below and leave a memory! I emphasize that even if you don't know me well or think it's a stupid memory or whatever, share it anyways!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Thanks ya'll! Love ya!

Ok So I'm pretty sure this list could go on and on and on. The trip to Utah with you, Ben and Lauren. Or the trip with all the NOW cds. The numerous late night talks and game time. The skittles game and chubby bunny. Picking you and Lauren up from jr high, with the trombone :). Movie nights and just laughing alot. I love you Rachel and thanks for the memories!

Rachel, Rachel, Rachel...what can I say? The memories are endless. I remember when I thought I knew how to cut hair for some reason, and you let me give you that mushroom cut that you hated. (Just for the record, I still think it looked pretty cute.) I remember singing Rock-a-bye baby to you over and over again, and always having to say Love ya, good night, don't let the bed bugs bite. I remember Christmas Eve in West Jordan and you singing that Groover's? song. (I don't remember what the song is called, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about). I remember you were always older than your years, probably due in part to some of the language we all taught you at a very young age. It was your bold character (temper?) that gave you the guts to actually use that language, however. Ü I've had tons of really good conversations over the years. I especially remember one REALLY late at night over at Laura's house that made me feel like I hadn't been there for you at all because I have always been so absorbed in my own life. I also remember TONS of really hilarious moments with you. You're seriously the funniest person I know, and whatever man ends up with you is going to be very lucky, because his life will never be boring. I heart Rachel!

Wow Candice, Thanks! I actually almost wrote about that talk we had at Laura's on your blog too. I won't soon forget about it :) I think that song you're talking about is "Groove is in the Heart" by DeeLite :) It goes BEEEEOOOWOOOOOP (High to low to high) Right? Is that what you were talking about? Well, thanks for thinking of all those good memories! I heart Candice too! :)

I remember how we tried to keep you from sugar when you were little because you would go into hyper drive! I remember the hard times at the dentist's office because of your soft teeth!

Remember when we first moved to Nevada and I walked with you to school through the desert? The park wasn't even there then.

I remember sewing a pink skirt for your 5th grade 50s dance.

Some of my funnest memories with you have to do with music. Even how excited you were when you learned to play some songs on the piano. Then all the choir experiences and Karoake and your sing along video games. Beautiful memories.

I remember all those mornings when you were still in Jr High and you came to seminary anyway (maybe partly because you wouldn't have to ride the bus). We got to visit on our way to your school every day.

I remember Saturdays out on the Soccer field watching you (and Jana and Ben). That was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be.

I remember sitting at Grandpa's table and talking to him about his childhood and early adulthood. That was a really nice day.

I remember a paricular Government class when I found out how quick and smart you are and how slow and plodding I am! Thanks for your constant help with that, by the way!! It turned out to be a really good experience for us to share.

Just a week or so ago I remember watching "So You Think You Can Dance" with you and having a really great time!

Lots and lots of fun memories just hanging out (like Candice said - you are very witty!) and I love you a lot!!

Thanks mom! I do remember you walking me to Kindergarten through the desert! In fact, every time I smell sagebrush (or whatever that plant out there is that has that distinct smell) I think of that! I smell that a lot up by my college and to this day I think back to when I was 6 years old when I smell that! That's one of my favorite memories. Love ya!

Wow, where to begin... I honestly don't know what I'd do without my better half! :) All the family jokes of us being "A Couple" We're just going to have to get married the same day or something because we'll make it all uneven if not, I don't think I could do that to you! HAha...

I remember just a little over a week ago giving you a HUGE hug before you left to go back home balling our eyes out and then not even 10 minutes later dad coming in with your luggage and your drink for you to stay here with me... Crazy girl! :)

You'll always be my favorite person ever to duet with! You have such an amazing voice, and I truly believe that those experiences have helped us to become closer, and to better understand each other!

I also believe that no one could ever come close to competing with your humor... You are always so witty, and you've always been able to make me laugh!

SOO MANY wonderful memories that I have and most of my favorite moments EVER were ones that I've spent with you! I'm so lucky to have such an amazing younger sister! I look forward to all of our amazing memories to come! I'm sure there will be plenty!! :) I heart Rachel TOO!

I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to make the sound of that song into a word, and couldn't figure it out! I also thought the line was "Groover's in the house...Groover's in the hooooouse." In my defense I don't think I've even heard that song since I was like 10. I also have to comment about you and Jana being a couple. After I got off the phone with Jana the other day, Carter asked who it was, to which I replied, "Jana." He said, "and Rachel?" and I said "No, just Jana." to which he said "It's Jana and Rachel!" Apparently, he doesn't think it's possible for you two to be apart. Ü

Rachel said...

Candice, that is so funny! Carter cracks me up. It's funny that a 5-year-old even picks up on our "couple"-ness.

Haha... Seriously! Seriously! They're all gonna be so confused when we add 2 more people into the mix, and we don't always show up together! :) That kid is so stinkin' adorable!

Oh where do I begin...spending time with you is never time wasted. I love to hear you sing, or play games with you, or just talk. You are always up beat and so much fun. I have really liked having you around this summer, even though I haven't done as much as I would have liked. I can say that there is one little boy that loves to spend time with his "aunties" (yes Kaleb considers Jana and Rachel as one entity as well) He is always wants to "go downtairs" and play.
